What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis is the scientific approach to understanding behavior, and is an evidence-based approach successful in making progress with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Applying ABA principles helps increase desired behaviors, and decrease interfering or unsafe behaviors, with an ultimate goal to identify meaningful outcomes and improve the lives of individuals and families.
At Marigold, we are passionate about relationships with and within families of neurodivergent individuals, and will provide individualized behavior solutions based on your needs.
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) is a graduate-level certification in behavior analysis. Professionals certified at the BCBA level are independent practitioners who provide behavior-analytic services.
BCBA’s can have many different levels of experience and strengths, and can provide insight and analysis on behaviors across all ages and diagnoses, but primarily specialize in Autism Spectrum Disorder, as ABA is an evidence-based practice shown to make progress in teaching skills to children with autism and identifying appropriate replacements for unsafe behaviors.
